I saw this on Nick at Nite back in the day. I just found it again on YouTube and kind of wish I hadn’t. Selective memory was forgiving. She moves like a malfunctioning Chuck E Cheese band member. It’s cute and sad at the same time.
I saw this movie (this is the final scene, I think) when I was a kid and it totally freaked me out. Streisand plays Daisy Gamble, a daffy clairvoyant who wears big hats and sings songs. I really want to see it again but I’m afraid of the same thing happening as when I revisited Escape from New York for the first time since junior high and walked away from the film sad and confused about how I might possibly feel twenty-five years from now about films I think are good today. This one’s a real doozy – especially the end.
